WESTMINSTER, Md. – In a game of few quality scoring opportunities for both teams, McDaniel took advantage of the game's third shot for a 1-0 win over Baruch in non-conference men's soccer action on Sunday.

Playing the second of back-to-back days, Kerry Shutt (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) found the back of the net for the Green Terror (2-1), scoring for the second time in as many days.

Xavier Carrillo made three saves for the Bearcats (2-1), who finished the game with a slim 9-8 edge in shots – two of which came in a flurry during the last five mintues of the game.

JP O'Connor (Forest Hill, Md./Archbishop Curley) played a free kick in from the left sideline that Shutt was able to deflect towards the goal and past a diving keeper for the game's lone goal at the 20:01 mark.

Nick Over (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) made two saves in his second 1-0 shutout win of the season.

McDaniel returns to action at Albright on Wednesday. Game time is 7 p.m.
