GETTYSBURG, Pa. – McDaniel scored twice in the final 20 minutes to overcome an early 1-0 deficit and defeat Scranton 2-1 in non-conference women's soccer action on the first day of the Gettysburg Cup on Saturday.

Kirsten Gibson (Lancaster, Pa./Penn Manor) notched her second goal of the season to break a 1-all deadlock in the 78th minute and give the Green Terror (2-0) the victory.

Kelsey Bacon staked the Royals (1-1) to a 1-0 lead just 1:13 into the game, finishing a cross from the top-left of the box.

Maggie Quinn (Crofton, Md./Archbishop Spalding) got the equalizer, finishing an Erin Brinley (DeWitt, N.Y./Jamesville-DeWitt) pass across the box from right to left in the 72nd minute.

Abby Keen (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) hit Gibson off a deflected cross for the game-winner just six-and-a-half minutes later.

McDaniel finished with a 12-7 advantage in shots.

The Green Terror concludes action at the Gettysburg Cup against Hiram on Sunday. Game time is 4 p.m.
