BRYN MAWR, Pa. – McDaniel jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first set en route to a 3-0 win over Bryn Mawr in Centennial Conference (CC) volleyball action on Saturday.

Lauren Wells (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) led the Green Terror (9-4, 1-1 CC) with six kills against no errors while adding two total blocks.

Rachel Ofill led the Owls (5-8, 0-1 CC) with five kills and six total blocks.

Kills from Lexi Corral (Tuscon, Ariz./Gaithersburg [Md.]) and Kloe Martin (Littleton, Colo./Heritage) staked McDaniel to a 17-7 lead in the first set before Noemi Moreno capped an 11-5 counter that closed the deficit to 22-18.

A Taylor Bauman (Charlottesville, Va./Albermarle) ace capped a 25-18 win.

Kills from Martin and Wells helped McDaniel to a 3-0 start in the second set before back-to-back Moreno aces evened the set at 4-all.

Knotted at 6, Teryn Rath (Grass Valley, Calif./Bear River) knocked down a kill to key a 19-5 finish for a 25-11 win.

Two Wells kills and a Bauman ace keyed a 6-0 start to the final set en route to a 25-15 victory.

Martin added six kills while Corral, Rath and Caroline Savin (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) added five each.

Bauman led the defense with 12 digs. Maddie Moyer (Brookeville, Md./Sherwood) added eight digs and five aces to go with nine assists.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Stevenson on Wednesday. Match time is 7 p.m.
