Colette Kellen (Olney, Md./Covenant Life) notched 21 assists and 12 digs to lead the Green Terror (8-4), who got contributions up and down the lineup.
Sarah Wukitch led the Spartans (5-11) with 26 assists, four kills, five digs and two aces.
The first set featured nine ties and five lead changes before one of Kloe Martin's (Littleton, Colo./Heritage) team-high 10 kills made it a 24-22 score in favor of the hosts.
After an attacking error, Lauren Wells (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) knocked down a Kellen set for the 25-23 victory.
After York had rallied back to knot the second set at 10-all, Lexi Corral (Tuscon, Ariz./Gaithersburg [Md.]) knocked down a kill and Taylor Bauman (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) served three straight aces to open up a 14-10 lead.
After a Martin kill forced a Spartan timeout, an attack error and Caroline Savin (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) stretched the lead to 17-10 en route to a 25-20 win.
The Green Terror jumped out to a 12-7 lead in the third set before the teams traded points.
Another of Bauman's five aces made it a 22-17 score before York closed to within 24-20 but Savin finished off the match with her seventh kill of the night.
Corral and Wells finished with eight kills each while Maddie Moyer (Brookeville, Md./Sherwood) added 11 assists to the offense.
Bauman added 12 digs to her five aces while Martin capped off her third double-double of the season with a team-high 13 digs.
McDaniel returns to action at Bryn Mawr on Saturday. Match time is 12 p.m.
