HERSHEY, Pa. – Alvontae Drummond (Lincoln, Del./Milford) won his first match before dropping his next two at the 2015 NCAA Division III wrestling championship hosted at the Giant Center on Friday.
Drummond, making his first championship appearance, won his first match 9-3 over Joshua Decatur (Baldwin Wallace).
The sophomore then fell to the top seed at 141, Messiah's Kaleb Loht by a 12-1 margin.
Drummond's day ended with one loss in the consolation bracket. He dropped a 2-1 decision to Michael Ferinde (Johnson & Wales) in the first tiebreaker period.
