WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel took the first two sets en route to a 3-1 victory over Dickinson in Centennial Conference (CC) volleyball action on Wednesday.

Kloe Martin (Littleton, Colo./Heritage) led the Green Terror (10-5, 2-1 CC) with her fifth double-double of the year, recording 10 kills to go with 12 digs.

Emily Smith paced the Red Devils (6-12, 0-4 CC) with 13 kills to go with seven digs and three blocks.

A Genna Weger (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) ace keyed a 4-0 start to the match before Dickinson battled back to even the first set at 10-all.

Three Dickinson attack errors and a Colette Kellen (Olney, Md./Covenant Life) ace pushed the lead back to 15-10 en route to a 25-17 victory.

Two Lexi Corral (Tuscon, Ariz./Gaithersburg [Md.]) kills helped the Green Terror open up a 10-4 advantage in the second set en route to a 25-13 win.

The Red Devils reeled off nine of 10 points in the third set to open up a 15-10 advantage.

Back-to-back kills from Martin closed the deficit to 17-16 before Sarah Donnelly (Wilmington, Del./Archmere Academy) got a push kill to hit the floor to even the set at 19-all.

Knotted at 23-all, kills from Norma Jean Park and Lauren Ahern forced a fourth set, 25-23.

Two Teryn Rath (Grass Valley, Calif./Bear River) kills and a Kellen ace helped the hosts jump out to a 5-0 lead in the decisive set.

The lead swelled to 13-3 on a Donnelly ace en route to a 25-13 victory.

Madeline Rose (Soddy Daisy, Tenn./Baylor School) added nine kills while Caroline Savin (Shrewsbury, Pa./Susquehannock) added eight. Taylor Bauman (Charlottesville, Va./Albemarle) led the defense with 14 digs while Donnelly added 12.

Kellen chipped in 21 assists and two aces while Donnelly added 16 assists and four aces. Lauren Wells (Glen Allen, Va./Glen Allen) added four blocks.

The Green Terror returns to action at Hood on Friday. Match time is 7 p.m.
