Box Score CHESTERTOWN, Md. – Washington (Md.) jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first 19 minutes and held on for a 2-1 victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) men's soccer action on Saturday.
Storm Robinson (Baltimore, Md./Out Lady of Mount Carmel) drew the Green Terror (2-6-2, 0-4 CC) within a goal, converting a penalty kick in the 59th minute.
Brian Wilkinson led the Shoremen (5-5, 1-3 CC) with a goal and an assist.
Chris Lewandowski found Cole Strong, who kicked played the ball to Wilkinson for a 1-0 lead at the 10:41 mark.
Wilkinson then returned the favor, crossing to Strong for a 2-0 advantage just over eight minutes later.
Nick Over (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) made six saves for McDaniel.
Washington finished with an 18-5 advantage in shots, including 12-1 in the first half.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Wilkes on Tuesday. Game time is 4 p.m.
