WESTMINSTER, Md. – In a battle of unbeaten teams, Swarthmore and McDaniel played to a 1-all draw in Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer action on Saturday.

Kristen Upton (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South) finished in the first half for the Green Terror (13-0-1, 5-0-1 CC), who entered the game ranked 24th by d3soccer.com.

Katherine Zavez scored for the Garnet (12-0-1, 6-0-1 CC), who entered the game ranked 10th by d3soccer.com and 18th in the NSCAA coaches' poll.

Upton headed in an Abby Keen (Salisbury, Md./Parkside) corner kick at the 14-minute mark to register just the second goal allowed by Swarthmore this season.

That 1-0 lead held until Zavez was able to get a foot on a rebound off a Sophie Bassalone saved shot and put it into the back of the net with just two seconds remaining in regulation. It was the first goal allowed by McDaniel at home this season.

The teams played 20 minutes of overtime without a goal to finish deadlocked at 1.

Sarah McDonald (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) and Reba Magier each made four saves in goal.

The Garnet finished with a 15-11 edge in shots while the Green Terror had a 7-3 edge in corner kicks.

The Green Terror returns to action at Gettysburg on Wednesday. Game time is 7 p.m.
