WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel opened up a 15-point halftime advantage en route to a 67-51 win over Swarthmore in Centennial Conference (CC) women's basketball action on Tuesday.

Lindsey Nichols (Wilmington, Del./St. Mark's) led the Green Terror (11-1, 6-1 CC) with 20 points while Steph Perez (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) added 12 points. The duo combined to hit all eight of McDaniel's 3-pointers on the night.

Elle Larsen paced the Garnet (4-9, 1-6 CC) with 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Tied at 2-all after Karli Zeps (Reisterstown, Md./Seton Keough) and Larsen traded layups, Zeps hit a midrange jumper and Nichols canned a 3-pointer to open up a 7-2 lead at the 17:32 mark.

Swarthmore whittled the lead to 9-8 on a Maggie O'Neill steal-and-layup nearly four minutes later before Lauren Ballenger (Silver Spring, Md./Good Counsel) hit a layup on the break to push the lead back to three.

Two Larsen free throws at the other end once again made it a one-point game but Nichols responded with two makes from the charity stripe to spark a 21-4 run that extended the lead to 32-14 with 5:19 to play in the first half.

Perez hit two of her four triples during the stretch.

With 1.0 seconds showing in the first half, Larsen hit two free throws to make it a 35-20 game at the intermission.

A Jordyn Bell jumper closed the deficit to 37-26 three minutes into the second half before a Perez 3-pointer sparked another 13-3 stretch that pushed the lead to 21 with 12:04 to play.

Two Emma Wingerd (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Hills) free throws with 6:11 remaining gave McDaniel its largest lead of the game at 57-32.

Wingerd added eight points and a team-best six rebounds while Brittney Davis (Laurel, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti) dished out five assists and nabbed four steals.
