Box Score

WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel built a 2-0 halftime lead en route to a 3-0 win over Goucher in non-conference women's soccer action on Tuesday.

Maggie Quinn (Crofton, Md./Archbishop Spalding) scored a goal in each half to lead the Green Terror (7-2-1), who finished with a 22-0 advantage in shots.

Juliana Harkavy and Lexi Rudolph each made four saves for the Gophers (3-6-1), splitting time between the pipes.

Quinn got McDaniel on the board in the 11th minute, finishing a Nicole Hill (Bowie, Md./Bowie) centering pass. Quinn took the ball from the right baseline on the backpost and slid the ball in front of the keeper into the far side of the net for a 1-0 lead.

Erica Diffendal (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) doubled the advantage in the 40th minute directly off a restart. The senior placed a direct kick from the top-right side of the box into the lower-right corner of the net for a 2-0 advantage.

Hill and Quinn connected on a nearly identical play only from the left side in the 54th minute when Quinn finished off both a Goucher defender and the keeper for the final margin.

In addition to the defense holding the Gophers without a shot, the Green Terror also finished with an 8-0 advantage in corner kicks.

McDaniel returns to action at home against Ursinus on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
