BALTIMORE, Md. – An 11-0 run early in the third set keyed a 25-15 win that allowed McDaniel to record a 3-0 win over Notre Dame (Md.) in non-conference volleyball action on Thursday.

Madeline Rose (Soddy Daisy, Tenn./Baylor High) led the Green Terror (11-4) on attack with eight kills while hitting .400. She also added five digs and a pair of blocks defensively.

Marylu Ortiz led the Gators (5-7) with 16 kills and 11 digs.

Knotted at 8-all on a Caroline Savin (Shrewsbury, Pa./Shrewsbury) kill, Sarah Donnelly (Wilmington, Del./Archmere Academy) knocked down back-to-back service aces for a 10-8 lead.

A Maddie Moyer (Brookeville, Md./Sherwood) kill keyed a 9-2 run that extended the lead to 20-12 en route to a 25-19 win in the opening set.

McDaniel jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the second set before Notre Dame rallied to even the match at 12-all on an Ortiz kill.

Three straight Green Terror points extended the lead to 15-12 en route to a 25-21 victory.

Trailing 3-2, a service error turned the serve over to Genna Weger (Shrewsbury, Pa./Shrewsbury) in a 3-all deadlock.

Three of Rose's kills helped McDaniel reel off 11 straight points to open up a 13-3 advantage en route to a 25-15 win.

Savin and Kloe Martin (Littleton, Colo./Heritage) added six kills each while Martin was the only player with double-digit digs at 10. Savin added a pair of blocks.

The Green Terror returns to action in a home tri-match with Bryn Mawr and Penn State-Mont Alto on Saturday. Action begins at 12 p.m.
