FROSTBURG, Md. – Frostburg converted a penalty kick in the 84th minute to defeat McDaniel 1-0 in non-conference women's soccer action on Tuesday.

Haley Jacobs (Forest Hill, Md./North Harford) made four saves to lead the Green Terror (5-2-1) in goal while Julia Pope (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) took seven shots to lead the offense.

Katie Smith led the Bobcats (6-1-2) with five saves of his own for the shutout.

Alyssa Malanik took and made the penalty-kick attempt at the 83:49 mark for the game's lone goal.

McDaniel finished with a 16-12 advantage in shots and 6-4 edge in corner kicks.

The Green Terror returns to action at home against Bryn Mawr on Saturday. Game time is 4 p.m.
