Box Score 2 WESTMINSTER, Md. – Lexi Corral (Gaithersburg, Md./Gaithersburg) recorded 12 kills and seven total blocks in a 2-0 day for McDaniel, contributing to non-conference volleyball wins over Goucher and Penn State-Abington on Saturday.
The Green Terror (9-1) topped Goucher 3-1, winning the first two sets by scores of 25-15 and 25-14, respectively, before the Gophers (4-8) forced s fourth set with a 25-18 win. In the final set, McDaniel prevailed, 25-6.
Caroline Savin (Shrewsbury, Pa./Shrewsbury) and Reagan Folaron (Colorado Springs, Colo./Cheyenne Mountain) led the attack with 11 kills each while Corral, Madeline Rose (Soddy Daisy, Tenn./Baylor High) and Teryn Rath (Grass Valley, Calif./Bear River) added seven kills apiece.
Maddie Moyer (Brookeville, Md./Sherwood) added 25 assists and eight digs while Colette Kellen (Olney, Md./Covenant Life) chipped in 18 assists and nine digs.
Genna Weger (Shrewsbury, Pa./Shrewsbury) added 17 digs, seven assists and four aces.
Against the Lions (2-7), McDaniel won in straight sets, 25-9, 25-15, 25-14.
Kloe Martin (Littleton, Colo./Heritage), who had six kills in the opening match, led the attack with seven kills in the three sets while Folaron added six.
Kellen and Moyer added 12 and 10 assists, respectively. Moyer, Kellen and Haley Duff (Montgomery Village, Md./Gaithersburg) steadied the defense with seven digs each.
Rose added five total blocks to her five kills while Corral had four blocks in the match.
The Green Terror returns to action at Catholic on Wednesday. Match time is 7 p.m.
