Shane McCracken (Marriottsville, Md./Liberty) scored twice to the lead the Green Terror (1-0), scoring the first and last goal of the day.
Brian O'Sullivan and Chris Hall each scored second-half goals for the Golden Eagles (0-1), who matched McDaniel with 10 shots in the game.
Knotted at 2-all, Bertrand Chepngang (Silver Spring, Md./Wheaton) scored on a breakaway to put the Green Terror on top in the 63rd minute.
McCracken added his second, finishing a Spencer Phillips (Ellicott City, Md./Howard) cross to set the final margin in the 82nd minute.
McCracken staked McDaniel to a 1-0 lead in the 16th minute, getting behind the keeper and taking advantage of a misplay.
The advantage held until O'Sullivan finished a header 4:31 into the second half.
An Edgar Escobar (Silver Spring, Md./Springbrook) fast-break goal put the Green Terror back in front in the 53rd minute before Hall knocked in a header nearly seven minutes later.
Nick Over (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) made four saves in his debut for McDaniel, including stopping a penalty kick in the 89th minute.
McDaniel returns to action at home against St. Vincent on Saturday. Game time is 2 p.m.
