Karli Zeps (Reisterstown, Md./Seton Keough) pulled down a career-high 11 rebounds to go with 13 points for her first collegiate double-double to lead the Green Terror (6-0, 3-0 CC) to its first 6-0 start in program history.
Alyssa March (Fallston, Md./Fallston) added a career-best 10 boards as part of a 53-37 advantage on the glass. March added nine points to fall a point shy of her first double-double. Lindsey Nichols (Wilmington, Del./St. Mark's) finished with 13 points to reach double figures for the sixth straight game.
Emily Hubley led the Shorewomen (3-4, 0-2 CC) with 13 points.
Trailing 10-4 behind all eight of Ali Grundy's points, Zeps hit a jumper in the paint with 13:32 to play in the first half, sparking the game-changing run.
Zeps added five more points during the eight-minute stretch while Nichols chipped in six total points.
Katherine Moore converted a layup on the break to snap a 9-minute, 58-second drought from the floor for Washington, which closed the deficit to 28-19 at the break.
Kelly Sugalski made a layup to cut the margin to seven points eight seconds into the second half before a March layup sparked a 12-2 run that pushed the advantage to 19 with 14:14 to play.
The second of Steph Perez's (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) 3-pointers in the second half pushed the advantage to 50-29 with 10:52 showing before the lead swelled as large as 27 on a Libby Bowles (Gaithersburg, Md./Damascus) jumper that made it a 58-31 game with 6:40 to play.
Perez finished with eight points while Lauren Legler (Stone Harbor, N.J./Middle Township) added five points and six rebounds to go with a pair of blocked shots.
Brittney Davis (Laurel, Md./St. Vincent Pallotti) dished out a career high-tying six assists to go with three steals.
McDaniel returns to action at home against Ursinus on Saturday. Game time is 1 p.m.
