Kelly Sugalski made a layup to cut the margin to seven points eight seconds into the second half before a March layup sparked a 12-2 run that pushed the advantage to 19 with 14:14 to play.

The second of Steph Perez's (Harrisburg, Pa./Central Dauphin East) 3-pointers in the second half pushed the advantage to 50-29 with 10:52 showing before the lead swelled as large as 27 on a Libby Bowles (Gaithersburg, Md./Damascus) jumper that made it a 58-31 game with 6:40 to play.

Perez finished with eight points while Lauren Legler (Stone Harbor, N.J./Middle Township) added five points and six rebounds to go with a pair of blocked shots.
