Box Score WESTMINSTER, Md. – McDaniel scored twice in the first half and Washington (Md.) scored twice in the second half in a 2-all draw in Centennial Conference (CC) men's soccer action on Saturday.
Shane McCracken (Marriottsville, Md./Liberty) led the Green Terror (6-4-, 1-2-1 CC) with a goal and an assist.
Brian Wilkinson drew the Shoremen (4-6-1, 0-3-1 CC) even in the 69th minute, eventually forcing overtime and the deadlock.
McCracken found Kerry Shutt (Lewisburg, Pa./Lewisburg Area) for a 1-0 lead at the 34:30 mark.
A McCracken penalty kick gave the senior his team-leading seventh goal of the year and a 2-0 lead in the 44th minute.
Sam Draper found the back of the net for Washington at the 67:04 mark before Wilkinson knotted the game just 57 seconds later.
Jon Wendeborn made eight saves for the Shoremen while Nick Over (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) made four stops at the other end.
McDaniel finished with an 18-15 edge in shots and 7-2 advantage in corner kicks. Each team took two shots in the 20 extra minutes.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Franklin & Marshall on Saturday. Game time is 3 p.m.
