Box Score LANCASTER, Pa. – McDaniel tallied twice in the second half to secure a 3-0 win over Franklin & Marshall in Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer action on Wednesday.
Catherine Wroblewski (Glen Mills, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) scored the game's lone first-half goal for the Green Terror (8-2-3, 2-1-2 CC), finding the back of the net in the 27th minute.
Caroline Letner made two saves for the Diplomats (1-11, 0-6 CC), who were able to muster only three shots in the game.
After a 25-minute weather delay at the start, Wroblewski finished a feed from Kristen Upton (Chalfont, Pa./Central Bucks South) for a lead that would hold until fewer than 20 minutes remained.
Meghan Sturgill (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) blasted home a free kick from just out the box to double the advantage at the 71:43 mark.
Christina Wroblewski (Glen Mills, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) found Nicole Hill (Bowie, Md./Bowie), who finished from the right side in the 85th minute.
Haley Jacobs (Forest Hill, Md./North Harford) and Sarah McDonald (Yardley, Pa./Pennsbury) combined for the shutout in goal. Jacobs made one save in 75 minutes while McDonald also made a stop in the final 15.
The Green Terror finished with advantages of 16-3 in shots and 6-0 in corners.
McDaniel returns to action at Swarthmore on Saturday. Game time is 4 p.m.
