Sokolik scores first-half goal

BRYN MAWR, Pa. – McDaniel scored in the final two minutes of the first half en route to a 3-0 victory over Bryn Mawr in Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer action on Saturday.

Allie Sokolik (Mahwah, N.J./Mahwah) staked the Green Terror (5-2, 1-1 CC) to the halftime advantage, scoring off a Meghan Sturgill (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) assist with 1:44 to play in the first half.

Aviva Kosansky led the Owls (1-6, 0-1 CC) in goal, making seven saves.

Nicole Hill (Bowie, Md./Bowie) doubled the advantage 2:54 into the second half, finishing from Maggie Quinn (Crofton, Md./Archbishop Spalding) before Julia Pope (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) set the final margin, scoring from Christina Wroblewski (Glen Mills, Pa./Cardinal O'Hara) just over six minutes later.

Haley Jacobs (Forest Hill, Md./North Harford) made five saves for McDaniel, which finished the game with an 18-7 advantage in shots.

McDaniel returns to action at Goucher on Wednesday. Game time is 7 p.m.
