Box Score

LANCASTER, Pa. – Franklin & Marshall, ranked 18th in the latest NSCAA Division III poll, scored twice in the final 34 minutes to rally for a 2-1 Centennial Conference (CC) men's soccer victory over McDaniel on Saturday.

Zach Nibbelink (Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) made four saves for the Green Terror (6-2-3, 0-2-2 CC), who faced a barrage of 15 shots, including 10 in the second half.

Jared Bomba scored the game-winning goal in the 83rd minute for the Diplomats (8-2-1, 2-2 CC) to snap a two-game skid.

Scoreless entering the 55th minute, Raymond Boly (Gaithersburg, Md./Damascus) one-time a Jesse Caples (Marriottsville, Md./Marriotts Ridge) corner into the left side of the net to put McDaniel on top 1-0 at the 54:07 mark. It was one of just two second-half shots for McDaniel.

Just 2:29 later, Ben Beaver put back in his own rebound to knot the game at 1-all.

However, following the goal, a Green Terror player was issued a yellow card and red card to put the team down a man for the remainder of the contest.

Bomba was finally able to take advantage, finishing at close range with 7:59 to play in regulation.

McDaniel returns to action at Catholic on Wednesday. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
