Box Score Woolley makes eight saves
WESTMINSTER, Md. – Frostburg was awarded a penalty kick in the 98th minute and converted to break up a shutout and down McDaniel 1-0 in non-conference women's soccer action on Saturday.
Jan Woolley (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) made eight saves for the Green Terror (1-9), who fourth one-goal game of the season.
Cassie Donohue converted for the Bobcats (11-1-1), scoring when a penalty kick was awarded with 2:54 to play in the first overtime of a scoreless game.
Frostburg finished with a 19-13 advantage in shots, including 3-0 in the overtime period, while both teams had four corner kicks.
Michelle Buckmaster made six saves in the second half and overtime for the Bobcats.
Meghan Sturgill (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) and Julia Pope (Manchester, Md./North Carroll) each had three shots for McDaniel.
The Green Terror returns to action at Hood on Monday. Game time is 4:30 p.m.
