Box Score Cochran makes 10 saves
CARLISLE, Pa. – Dickinson scored 12:33 into the game and held McDaniel off the scoreboard for a 2-0 Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer victory on Wednesday.
Kristin Cochran (Jessup, Md./Hammond) made 10 saves for the Green Terror (1-8, 1-4 CC) in the first 78 minutes while Jan Woolley (Ephrata, Pa./Ephrata) had one stop in the final 12 minutes.
Samantha Friday staked the Red Devils (6-3-1, 3-2 CC) to a 1-0 lead off a feed from Rosalin Savoie in the 13th minute.
That's where the score remained until Marissa Kunkle was awarded a penalty kick on a takedown in the box and converted for the final margin with 11:57 on the clock.
Dickinson finished with a 23-3 advantage in shots.
Meghan Sturgill (Westminster, Md./Winters Mill) took two of McDaniel's three shots.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Frostburg on Saturday. Game time is 3 p.m.
