Box Score McShea notches seven kills, 12 digs
WESTMINSTER, Md. – Ursinus used a late rally in the second set to key a 3-0 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) volleyball action on Saturday.
Annie McShea (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson) led the attack for the Green Terror (0-14, 0-4 CC) with seven kills and also contributed 12 digs to the defense.
Leah Masiello led the Bears (9-7, 1-4 CC) with 22 digs.
Ursinus jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first set en route to a 25-17 victory.
In the second set, a pair of Hannah Krobock (Frederick, Md./Tuscarora) aces keyed an 8-1 start to the second set for McDaniel.
The Green Terror maintained an 18-10 lead before a Kim Goldberg ace sparked a 15-3 rally for a 25-21 win.
The Bears carried that momentum to an 8-3 start in the set No. 3 en route to a 25-12 victory.
Jaina Maultsby (Baltimore, Md./Western) added six kills to the attack and nine digs to the defense while Sarah Marshall (Lexington, Mass./Gann Academy) contributed five assists and eight digs.
McDaniel returns to action at Dickinson on Wednesday. Match time is 7 p.m.
