Camlin, Glotfelty wrap up match with pins to seal win
GETTYSBURG, Pa. - Joe Camlin (Westminster, Md./Winters
Mill) recorded a third-period fall to seal a Centennial
Conference (CC) wrestling win for McDaniel at Gettysburg on
Wednesday.
A Brock Glotfelty (Grantsville, Md./Northern
Garrett) first-period pin wrapped up a 29-12 victory for
the Green Terror (7-6, 4-1 CC), who won six of the 10 bouts.
The Bullets (3-11, 2-3 CC) recorded wins by decision in all four
of their victories.
Abe Evans staked Gettysburg to an early 3-0
lead with a 4-0 win at 125 before Tommy Goretsas
(Hampstead, Md./North Carroll) won by forfeit to give
McDaniel the lead for good.
Mike Tancredi (Wall, N.J./Wall Twp.) extended
the lead to 9-3 with a 7-3 victory at 1441 and Brent Lowe
(Dumfries, Va./Forest Park) added a 17-2 technical fall
early in the second period to stretch the advantage to 14-3.
Joe Fiore (157), Tim Zielinski
(165) and DJ Neri pulled the hosts within two with
a pair of two-point wins and a Neri 12-5 decision.
Will Yeo (Lexington Park, Md./Great Mills)
stretched the lead back to five with an 8-4 win at 184 before
Camlin notched his fall in 6:03 and Glotfelty recorded a pin in
1:21.
McDaniel returns to action in a CC tri-meet at Muhlenberg with
Ursinus on Saturday. Action begins at 10 a.m.
