WESTMINSTER, Md. - Chris Heine hit 9 of 10 shots, including 5-for-6 from 3-point range, to finish with 23 points and lead Dickinson to a 61-40 win over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) men's basketball action on Wednesday.

Matt Dolan added 13 points while Trevor Kenny chipped in 10 for the Red Devils (2-16, 2-11 CC), who notched just their second win of the season and second in the last eight days.

With the game tied at 23-all on a Woody Butler (Smithsburg, Md./Middletown) free throw with 2:42 showing in the first half, Sean Bair hit layup late in the period to give Dickinson the lead for good.

Heine extended the lead to five at intermission just beating the first-half buzzer with a heave off the backboard from two steps inside halfcourt after Chris Smith saved the ball on the sideline back to Heine.

A Miguel Jones (Baltimore, Md./North County) 3-pointer 1:32 into the second half made it a 36-30 game but the Red Devils tallied 29 of the games next 35 points, extending the lead to as many as 27 at 59-32 on a pair of Chris Harrington free throws with 3:57 on the clock.

A Dolan jumper with 10:51 remaining in the first half opened up the largest lead for either team in the first half, giving Dickinson a 16-11 advantage.

The Green Terror, keyed by seven points from Dyson, responded with an 11-2 run to take its largest lead at 22-18 with 4:40 on the clock.

A Chris Barsanti layup and Heine triple gave the visitors a one-point advantage before Butler tied the game for the fifth and final time.

The Green Terror returns to action at Haverford on Saturday. Game time is 3 p.m.
