WESTMINSTER, Md. - Eight of Ashley Lyles' (Laurel,

added a career-high 16 points and matched her career best with
seven assists in the team's seventh straight win.
Nina Voith led all scorers with 24 for the
Fords (3-7, 1-6 CC) but was limited to just five points after
halftime.
Trailing 59-49 with 5:50 to play, Lyles converted a pair of free
throws to spark an 11-0 run that gave McDaniel its first lead since
midway through the first half with 3:17 to play in regulation.
A Fischer three-point play on the break with 4:47 to play and
Moreland layup on the break 50 seconds later pulled the hosts
within one before Lyles, who was 10 of 12 from the line, gave the
Green Terror a one-point lead.
Sara Cram responded at the other end with a
layup to momentarily put Haverford back in front.
Lylees converted, however, on a putback off a Moreland missed
3-pointer, to put McDaniel on top by one with 2:23 to play.

before Catherine Mills (Ijamsville, Md./Urbana)
converted from the middle of the lane with 36.5 seconds showing to
give the Green Terror a two-point lead.

the final shot of regulation but could not convert.
The Green Terror won the overtime tip and Fischer hit a
second-chance layup to give her team the lead for good 34 seconds
into the extra session.
After the Fords shot nearly 60 percent through the first 40
minutes, they could convert just one of their six attempts in
overtime while McDaniel hit 3 of 8 from the field and 6 of 12 from
the free-throw line to pull away.
A Sally Grace (Catonsville, Md./Mount de Sales
Academy) pull-up 3-pointer on the break capped an 8-2 run
to open the game.
Five straight Moreland points once again pushed the lead to six
at 15-9 with 13:43 to play before Haverford went on an 18-5 run
over the next nearly eight minutes to take a 27-20 lead with 5:51
to play in the opening half.

before Voith hit a 3-pointer at the other end to stretch the lead
back to four.
An Emma Adams (Oneida, N.Y./Oneida) 3-pointer
from the top of the arc with 11 seconds remaining trimmed the
deficit to 34-33 but Voith just beat the halftime buzzer from the
elbow to make it a three-point game at the break.
A Meeks jumper with 14:57 to play in the second half stretched
the lead to 46-36 but the Green Terror whittled the deficit to
50-46 with 8:42 to play before a 9-3 burst swelled the advantage to
10 once again.
