Box Score Sarris-Grau scores 21 to lead Green Terror to 69-44 win over

WESTMINSTER, Md. - Louis Sarris-Grau (Huntingdon Valley,
Pa./Lower Moreland) recorded a career-high 21 points and
added 10 rebounds for his second double-double of the season,
leading McDaniel to a 69-44 victory over Haverford in Centennial
Conference (CC) men's basketball action on Tuesday.
Michael Jarboe (Monrovia, Md./Urbana) and
Miguel Jones (Baltimore, Md./North County) added
15 and 11 points, respectively, for the Green Terror (7-5, 3-2 CC),
who recorded its first victory by more than nine points this season
and snapped its three-game skid in the process.
Cameron Baker led the Fords (4-8, 2-4 CC) with
12 points.
Joseph Potucek (Germantown, Md./St. Johns at Prospect
Hall) staked McDaniel to a 2-0 lead just 1:50 into the
game and Jarboe connected on a 3-pointer 68 seconds later to make
it a 5-0 game and the Green Terror never trailed.
Ian Goldberg answered Jarboe's triple with a
trey of his own to get Haverford on the board.
Clinging to a 9-7 lead, Jones hit a free with 13:12 to play in
the first half to spark an 11-2 run that gave the hosts their first
double-digit lead of the game with 7:26 showing.
A Mitch Belella (Smithsburg, Md./Maria Goretti)
layup in the final minute of the half stretched the lead to 33-16
at the break.
A pair of Jarboe free throws 4:10 into the second half swelled
the lead to 23 at 41-18.
The Fords got as close as 17 when a Alex Zandi
layup made it a 59-42 game with 2:55 to play but McDaniel tallied
10 of the game's final 12 points for a 25-point victory.
Sarris-Grau added five assists and four steals while Jarboe
chipped in four helpers and three swipes.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Ursinus on
Thursday. Game time is 8 p.m.
