Box Score Blue Jays tally in 33rd minute for 1-0 win at McDaniel
WESTMINSTER, Md. - Scott Bukoski scored the
game's only goal in the 33rd minute to lift Johns Hopkins to a 1-0
victory over McDaniel in Centennial Conference (CC) men's soccer
action on Wednesday.
The Blue Jays (9-2, 2-1 CC) finished with a 16-6 advantage in
shots and held off a furious rally by the Green Terror (5-5, 2-1
CC) in the game's waning minutes to improve to 18-0-1 in the series
since the inception of the CC in 1993.
Evan Kleinberg played a ball through the
defense that Bukoski collected and beat the keeper to put Johns
Hopkins on the board at the 32:22 mark.
Robert Hollasch (Marriottsville, Md./Liberty)
made four saves for McDaniel while Ravi Gill had
three at the other end to earn his sixth shutout of the season.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Washington
(Md.) on Saturday. Game time is 3:30 p.m.
