Box Score Bears score four in first half en route to 4-1 win
COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. - Jess Porcelan scored in the
16th minute as part of a four-goal first half in Ursinus' 4-1
Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer victory over McDaniel on
Saturday.
Tia Scott (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown)
tallied for the Green Terror (3-10-1, 2-4 CC), breaking up the
shutout in the 67th minute.
The Bears (8-4-1, 4-2-1 CC) finished with a 30-3 advantage in
shots.
Pocelan finished a Cecilia Mansoon assist at
the 15:30 mark.
At the 21:56 mark, Megan Ascanio doubled the
lead off a Monica Oliveto feed before
Melissa Reuter stretched the lead to 3-0 less than
a minute later.
Oliveto and Porcelan capped one-goal, one-assist days when the
pair connected in the 30th minute.
A Scott unassisted marker at the 66:59 mark capped the scoring.
Leanne Hollinger (Westminster, Md./Winters
Mill) made 18 saves for McDaniel, giving her 64 saves in
the last five games.
The Green Terror returns to action at home against Gettysburg on
Wednesday. Game time is 4 p.m.
