Herrgott notches 14 kills for Green Terror in three-set
victory
CARLISLE, Pa. - Taylor Herrgott (Derwood,
Md./Magruder) recorded 14 kills to lead McDaniel to a 3-0
victory at Dickinson in Centennial Conference (CC) volleyball
action on Wednesday.
The Green Terror (14-9, 3-2 CC) took the opening set 25-22
before extending its lead to 2-0 with a 25-21 win and closing out
its 12th sweep of the season with a 25-22 win.
Ely Gosheva paced the Red Devils (5-12, 2-3 CC)
with 11 kills and eight digs.
Anne McShea (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas
Johnson) added seven kills to the attack while
Lanni Reisinger (Lemoyne, Pa./Cedar Cliff),
Sara Hanlon (Frederick, Md./Gov. Thomas Johnson)
and Kelly Toms (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown)
each notched five.
Jackie Hawkins (Ellicott City, Md./Centennial)
recorded 26 assists and was one of four McDaniel players to reach
double figure digs with 14.
McShea and Katie Ferguson (Dover, Pa./Northern
York) steadied the defense with 16 digs apiece while
Reisinger contributed 13.
The Green Terror returns to action at Ursinus on Saturday. Match
time is 1 p.m.
