ELIZABETHTOWN, Pa. – Taylor Herrgott (Derwood,
Md./Magruder) recorded 23 kills in two matches to lead
McDaniel to a 1-1 showing on the first day of the Elizabethtown
Blue Jay Classic in non-conference volleyball action on Friday.
The Green Terror (6-6) dropped a 3-0 decision to the host Blue
Jays, falling 25-20, 25-16, 25-15, before downing Wilkes, 3-1
(19-25, 25-19, 25-15, 25-18).
Against Elizabethtown, Herrgott recorded nine kills while
Kristen Nuckles (Suffolk, Va./Nansemond-Suffolk
Academy) added 18 assists and 13 digs.
Herrgott also led the way against Wilkes with 14
kills.
The Green Terror returns to action on the second day of the
Elizabethtown Blue Jay Classic on Saturday. McDaniel takes on
Neumann at 12 p.m.
