TOWSON, Md. – Brandan Steele and
Travis Steedle each recorded a goal and an assist
to lead Lebanon Valley to a 4-0 victory over McDaniel in the first
day of the 2008 Goucher Soccer Classic in men's soccer action
on Saturday.
The Green Terror (0-1) and Flying Dutchmen (1-0) tallied seven
shots apiece as a team but Lebanon Valley was able to find the back
of the net on four of those attempts while McDaniel could
not.
Steele found Steedle at the 14:24 mark for a 1-0
advantage.
Ethan Groff doubled the advantage eight minutes
before halftime before Chris Hall and Steele
scored nearly six minutes apart in the second half for the final
margin.
Michael Radcliffe (Kingsville, Md./Perry Hall)
made one save in his first collegiate start in goal.
The Green Terror returns to action in the second day of the Goucher
Soccer Classic against the host Gophers on Sunday. Game time is 1
p.m.
