COLLEGEVILLE, Pa. – Brock Glotfelty (Grantsville,
Md./Northern Garrett) went 4-0 with three pins to improve
to 9-0 on the season and win at heavyweight for McDaniel at the
Ursinus Fall Brawl in wrestling action on Sunday.
Brent Lowe (Dumfries, Va./Forest Park) added a
third-place finish for the Green Terror at 149, going 3-2 with a
pin on the day.
Glotfelty opened his day with a forfeit victory before recording
three straight falls to earn his second consecutive tournament
title.
Glotfelty pinned Thiel's Kraig Smith in 2:15
before recording a 6-minute, 17-second fall of Brian
Keyser (Elizabethtown) to advance to the championship
bout, where he pinned the Blue Jays' Tim
Katzaman in 2:16.
Lowe, after receiving a bye in the first round, recorded a 20-3
technical fall at the end of the second period and a first-period
pin before falling 11-3 to eventual champion John
Barnett (TCNJ).
In the consolation bracket, he defeated Thiel's Alec
Miller 8-6 before falling to Tyler
Branham (TCNJ) in the third-place bout, 10-9.
McDaniel returns to action in a tri-meet at Wilkes with NYU. Action
begins at 12 p.m.
