HAVERFORD, Pa. – Rebecca Salvo recorded a
match-high 15 kills to lead Haverford to a 3-0 win over McDaniel in
Centennial Conference (CC) volleyball action on Saturday.
With the loss, the Green Terror (12-16, 5-5 CC) were eliminated
from the playoff chase on the season's final day while the
Fords (22-6, 9-1 CC), by virtue of Gettysburg's 3-1 win over
Muhlenberg, earned the No. 2 seed in next week's
tournament.
Haverford won its fourth straight match by set scores of 25-22,
25-18 and 25-13, respectively.
Taylor Herrgott (Derwood, Md./Magruder) led the
McDaniel attack with eight kills. She added two aces and two total
blocks.
Kristie Fourcade (Ijamsville, Md./St. Johns at Prospect
Hall) had 13 assists while Katie Ferguson (Dover,
Pa./Northern York) led the defense with 13 digs.
Kristin Nuckles (Suffolk, Va./Nansemond-Suffolk
Academy) added 10 digs.
Kate Comey had 31 assists for Haverford while
Kelsey Cantwell led the defense with 15 digs and
three blocks.
