SWARTHMORE and BRYN MAWR, Pa. – Taylor Herrgott
(Derwood, Md./Magruder) recorded 35 kills, four total
blocks and two aces in a pair of Centennial Conference (CC)
volleyball victories on Saturday.
The Green Terror (8-9, 2-1 CC) defeated Swarthmore 3-1 (25-21,
15-25, 27-25, 25-15) before traveling down the road to Bryn Mawr
and winning 3-0 by identical 25-17 scores.
In the morning match against the Garnet (5-13, 1-2 CC), Herrogtt
recorded 17 kills while Sara Hanlon (Frederick, Md./Gov.
Thomas Johnson) notched 10.
Katie Ferguson (Dover, Pa./Northern York) led five
players in double-figure digs with 21. Lanni Reisinger
(Lemoyne, Pa./Cedar Crest) added 18 while Jenna
Filipone (Wayne, Pa./Radnor) each had 16.
Kristen Nuckles (Suffolk, Va./Nansemond-Suffolk
Academy) added 15 digs to go with her 22 assists. Fourcade
chipped in 17 assists while Hanlon led the way with four
blocks.
In the afternoon match against the Owls (10-6, 2-2 CC), Herrgott
led the way with 18 kills.
Fourcade and Nuckles chipped in with 16 and 15 assists,
respectively.
Ferguson steadied the defense with 16 digs while contributing to
the offense with four aces. Filipone had 12 digs while Hanlon added
five total blocks.
McDaniel returns to action at Franklin & Marshall on Wednesday.
