goal and an assist to lead Gettysburg to a 3-0 win over McDaniel in
Centennial Conference (CC) women's soccer action on
Wednesday.
The Green Terror (4-10, 1-6 CC) was held off the board for the
fifth straight game, extending its scoreless stretch to 469

After a back-and-forth first 25 minutes, Jordann
Smak got a breakaway in the 26th minute and
fired a shot from the top of the box to open the
scoring.
Just 48 seconds later, Walsh found Tara Gaston on
the right side of the box and, with Hollinger out to play the ball,
Gaston fired past her and into the left side of the net to double
the advantage.
Walsh rounded out the scoring in the 77th minutes with a
shot from the right side that went off Hollinger's
hands.
McDaniel had an opportunity early to take the lead but
Jessica Peyton (Middletown, Md./Middletown) had a
breakaway attempt that sailed high in the ninth minute. Tia
Scott (Hagerstown, Md./North Hagerstown) had her shot hit
the crossbar and bounce straight down in the 30th minute
that would have closed the deficit to 2-1.
