Matt Clark

Clark joins the Green Terror staff in 2016 after a successful playing career at Penn State-Mont Alto.

He will primarily work with the hitters and outfielders at McDaniel while also assisting with recruiting.

A two-sport athlete at Mont Alto, he was a three-year starter in center field for the Lions. As the No. 3 hitter in the lineup, Clark was twice an All-PSUAC selection and was a USCAA second-team All-American as a senior in 2015.

A career .341 hitter, he hit .382 with 12 doubles, four triples and a home run as a senior. He also led the team in RBIs (33), walks (28) and stolen bases (19-for-19). 

Clark earned numerous playing opportunities following his tenure with Mont Alto, including being invited to the annual Frank Finn tryout for the Cape Cod League. He also had a tempoary opportunity to play for the Wilmington Sharks (Coastal Plain League) and the Orleans Firebirds. He was also invited to a post-draft workout for the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Following graduation, he spent last season as a volunteer under his father Terry at Mont Alto, working with the hitters and outfielders. During the summer of 2016, he worked numerous camps, including at Florida State, Penn State, Duke and Georgia.

Clark played football as a freshman at Shippensburg before transferring to Penn State-Mont Alto. He was also a two-year member of the Lions' golf team, helping to win the 2012 PSUAC championship.

Clark earned a dual degree in business management/marketing and business administration from Penn State. He is currently pursuing his masters in Human Resource Development at McDaniel.
