Zachary Nahmias

Nahmias begins his first year on the Hill in 2025.

He joined the athletic training staff at Loyola University Maryland in 2021, working with the women’s basketball and women’s volleyball teams while assisting the men’s and women’s rowing teams. He also worked with the women’s soccer team and both of the school’s tennis teams. He covered games and traveled with multiple teams, providing assistance to athletes by diagnosing and treating orthopedic injuries and helping with general medical and psychological conditions.

Prior to his work with the Greyhounds, he served as a certified athletic trainer at Pivot Physical Therapy in Gaithersburg, MD working with student athletes at Gaithersburg High School. He created and implemented lateral ankle sprain prevention programs, worked on-site at the school’s home games, educated student athletes on nutrition and hydration for sports performance and worked with coaches, parents and administrators.

Nahmias received his master’s degree in exercise science and health promotion with a concentration in rehabilitation sciences from California University of Pennsylvania in August 2021. He received his bachelor’s in athletic training from Towson University in May 2020.
