A 2023 McDaniel College graduate, Martino joins the coaching staff for his first season in 2024.
Martino appeared in 50 games while making 28 starts in five seasons as a left-handed pitcher with the Green Terror from 2000-24. He totaled a 14-9 record with one shutout and two saves over 191.2 innings pitched while recording 143 strikeouts. He ranks third in program history in appearances, ninth in games started, 10th in wins and strikeouts and 11th in innings pitched.
Martino was named to the D3baseball.com All-Region 5 Third Team after receiving All-Centennial Conference First Team honors as a graduate student in 2024. He led the team in wins, earned run average and strikeouts, posting a 5-1 record with a 2.15 ERA and 48 strikeouts. He also led the Centennial Conference in ERA and posted the league's third-highest win total.
A native of Brooklyn, N.Y., Martino received his bachelor's degree in kinesiology with a minor in education from McDaniel in May 2023.
