Harris begins his first season as an assistant coach at McDaniel in 2025. A native of Damascus, Maryland, he has had a successful career as both a player and a coach.
As a coach, Harris has been on staff with Liverpool FC International Academy Maryland since 2021 and currently serves as coach of the U16 National Academy League boys’ team with college teammate and former McDaniel assistant coach, Christian Morales.
Harris, who has dual citizenship in the United States and Jamaica, served three years as an assistant coach at Archbishop Spalding High School and serves as the Camp Director for SAM Soccer, the official soccer club of the Maryland SoccerPlex.
As a player, Harris played professionally for five seasons with the Harrisburg Heat of the Major Arena Soccer League (MASL). He made 108 appearances and totaled 97 points with 46 goals and 51 assists as well as 52 block shots as a midfielder. He was also named to the MASL All-Rookie Team as an honorable mention selection in 2020.
Harris played in the Lamar Hunt US Open Cup, the oldest soccer tournament in America, twice in 2019 and 2024.
Harris played collegiately at Denver and UMBC from 2012-15, making 84 appearances with 70 starts and totaling 22 points with four goals and 14 assists. He began his college career at Denver where he played in all 20 matches and started 18, tallying seven points with one goal and five assists.
Harris was teammates with Morales and McDaniel head women’s soccer coach Michael Scott in three seasons at UMBC, playing in 64 games with 52 starts, 15 points, three goals, and nine assists. UMBC won America East Conference championships in 2013 and 2014, posting the best winning percentage in Division I in 2013 and advancing to the 2014 College Cup before falling to eventual national champion Virginia, 1-0.
As a senior captain in 2015, Harris was selected to the All-East Region First Team after being named America East Defensive Player of the Year and earning first team all-conference honors. In 2014, he scored the game-winning goal in a 1-0 victory at No. 4 Maryland in the NCAA second round.
A 2017 graduate of UMBC with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Harris was a decorated high school player at McDonogh, earning NSCAA All-America and First Team All-Metro honors. He later earned a spot on the Montgomery County All-Decade Team.
As a youth player, Harris won a U15 national championship with the Baltimore Bays and competed for the U14, U15, and U18 U.S. Youth National Team.
Harris is the founder and CEO of Project 77 whose mission is to use soccer as a tool for personal growth, opportunity, and transformation.
