Catharine Behrenshausen

Behrenshausen (Rudio) joined the Green Terror staff in April 2021 as Assistant Athletic Trainer.

She joins McDaniel from Lehigh, working in the sports medicine department there in various roles since 2013. Her tenure in Bethlehem began as a student intern, working primarily with the football team during the Fall 2013 semester. From 2014-16, she served as a staff athletic trainer and sports medicine apprentice while completing her master's of science in exercise science and health promotion at California (Pa.). In the summer of 2016, Behrenshausen joined the Lehigh staff full-time as an Assistant Director of Sports Medicine.

In her most recent role, she worked primarily with the women’s volleyball, field hockey, men’s and women’s swimming and diving, baseball, and wrestling. She was also responsible for coordinating recruit medical screening questionnaires for prospects and was the liaison with the Health and Wellness Center, collaborating and coordinating the pre-participation process.

She has also volunteered at the 2017 and 2018 NCAA Div. I wrestling championship. 

Behrenshausen began her undergraudate as an athletic training major at Kean, where she also played field hockey, before completing her bachelor's in athletic training at East Stroudsburg in 2014.

She currently resides in Hanover, Pa. with her husband Derek and dog, Porter.
