Garvis came to McDaniel after a two-year tenure at nearby Hood College where he helped the Blazers capture their first conference title in school history and second NCAA tournament berth.
Garvis also has experience as an assist coach with the Elevate Hoops AAU program.
A 2020 graduate of the Pennsylvania College of Technology with a bachelor’s degree in Sport and Event Management, Garvis was a two-year starter for the Wildcats, helping them reach the North Eastern Athletic Conference playoffs for the first time in school history in 2020. He finished career with over 600 points, 300 rebounds, and 100 three-point field goals.

Garvis is a native of Maryland, graduating from Francis Scott Key High School where he was selected as All-Carroll County First Team selection as a senior.
