CARLISLE, Pa. - Senior
Addison Utterback totaled three points as the McDaniel College women's lacrosse team fell for just third time in eight road games this season, 18-3 at Dickinson on Wednesday.
Utterback had a hand in each of the three goals for the Green Terror (6-6, 0-3 CC) with two goals and one assist to extend her point scoring streak to 11 games and her goal scoring streak to nine.
After Utterback assisted on the game's first goal by first-year
Grace Legacy, the Red Devils (6-5, 1-2 CC) scored the next 10-straight to take a commanding 10-1 lead with 3:39 remaining in the second quarter.
Utterback scored her first goal exactly one minute later before Dickinson added another tally with just seconds left to push its lead back to nine at halftime, 11-2.
The Red Devils seized control of the game with eight goals in the second quarter, out-shooting the visitors 12-2, winning six of nine draw controls, and forcing six turnovers.
Utterback scored her second goal with 10:46 to play in the third before Dickinson scored the final six to provide the final margin.
Junior
Emily Conklin totaled four ground balls, one caused turnover, and six draw controls while senior
Kat Thayer had one assist, one ground ball, one caused turnover and four draw controls. Sophomore
Gracie Nash picked up an assist for the second consecutive game.
Senior
Caleigh Kohr made four saves in 35 minutes while first-year
Nicole Ruther had two in just over 24 minutes. Sophomore
Audrey Musser also saw action as the Green Terror played three goalies for the second game in-a-row.
McDaniel hosts in-state rival Washington College on Saturday. Opening draw is set for 1 p.m.
