CARLISLE, Pa. - McDaniel College women's cross country first-year
Isabel Meadows-Soto placed fifth in the 8K at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational Saturday, setting a new program course record with a time of 23:33.4.
The Green Terror placed nine out of 19 teams with 84 points. Misericordia took home the team title with nine points. Gettysburg finished second with 32 points, three ahead of Washington & Jefferson while Dickinson and Millersville tied for fourth with 53 points.
Meadows-Soto's time beat the school course record by 30 seconds, previously set by Rebecca Debinski in 2017. Meadows-Soto's time is the eighth-fastest 6K time in program history.
Junior
Maya Colavito placed 50th with a time of 25:57.8 and first-year
Evie Eggers placed 63rd with a time of 26:38.0. Senior
Piper Nagaraj finished in 66th with a time of 26:46.0 and first-year
Gianna Corrieri rounded out the McDaniel scorers with a 77th place finish in 27:24.4.
Sophomore
Natalie Kaminsky crossed the line in 28:59.2 while first-year
Natalie Lebo ran a time of 30:02.8. Junior
Abby Warner finished with a time of 31:50.3.
In the 4K race, sophomore
Riley Friedman posted a time of 22:18.4.
McDaniel returns to action on Saturday, Oct. 11 at the Jack Saint Clair Memorial at Belmont Plateau.
