EMMITSBURG, Md. - First-year Isabel Meadows-Soto posted the eighth-fastest time in program history to lead the McDaniel College women's cross country team as it opened the season on Friday at the Mount St. Mary's 5k Duals.

The Green Terror placed eighth with a team score of 210. 

Making her collegiate debut, Meadows-Soto placed 13th with a time of 19:18.33 while junior Maya Colavito placed 59th with a time of 21:50.74.

First-year Evie Eggers ran a time of 23:03.29 to place 69th and senior Natalie Kaminsky crossed the line in 23:51.22 to place 76th. First-year Gianna Corrieri placed 80th with a time of 24:09.94 to round out the top five.

Senior Anna Kale placed 81st with a time of 24:40.69 and first-year Natalie Lebo had a time of 25:24.60 to place 84th and complete the scorers.

Senior Abby Warner posted a personal best time of 26:19.99 while senior Piper Nagaraj ran a time of 27:29.6. Senior Arianna Lowengrub finished in 27:32.12 and first-year Cassandra McCullough posted a time of 28:01.91. Sophomore Riley Friedman crossed the line in 28:09.60.

The Green Terror return to action next Saturday, Sept. 6 at the Dutchmen Invitational hosted by Lebanon Valley.
