WESTMINSTER, Md. - Led by a straight sets win by junior
Justin Edwards at No. 6 singles, the McDaniel College men's tennis team won its first match of the spring, 5-2 over Lycoming Sunday on the Warfield Tennis Courts.
Edwards posted a 6-0, 6-0 win over Pepesh Rai while junior
Jake Kegley recorded a 6-0, 6-1 victory over Joshua Neidert at No. 1 singles.
Senior
Parth Shah secured the win with a 6-1, 6-1 victory over Thomas Anderson at No. 5 singles.
In doubles, Kegley partnered with senior
Drew Ryder at No. 1 with Kegley to post a hard fought 6-4 win over Neidert and Matthew Baldridge. Sophomore
Nick Ferraro and sophomore
Hunter Turlington then earned the doubles point with a 6-0 win at No. 3 over Anderson and Rai.
McDaniel returns to action next Sunday, March 30 at Penn State Abington beginning at 1 p.m.
