WESTMINSTER, Md. - Head coach
Kristin Ramey '05 picked up career win No. 100 as the McDaniel College women's lacrosse team posted a 14-5 victory over Wisconsin-Eau Claire Sunday inside Gill Stadium.
The Green Terror (5-3) posted their fourth win in six home games this season, including three out of five on their current six-game home stand.
Ramey has totaled 100 career wins, including 72 in 12 seasons at her alma mater from 2014-25. She also totaled 28 in two seasons at Denison in 2012 and 2013.
Junior
Kat Thayer totaled eight points with five goals and three assists while adding two ground balls, three draw controls and one caused turnover. Four of her goals came on free-position shots as she scored on 4-of-5 attempts.
Thayer now has 93 points and 96 draw controls in 41 career games.
Senior
Paris Conord posted her fifth career hat trick, including her fourth in eight games this season with three goals while junior
Mia McElwee netted her second career hat trick and first since March 13, 2024 versus Albright.
In the first-ever meeting between the two teams, McDaniel scored the game's first six goals, leading 4-0 after the first quarter and 6-0 with 3:33 remaining in the second before Paige Kiani got the Blugolds (3-2) on the board with 2:59 left before halftime.
Thayer had a hand in four of the first six goals for the Green Terror with two goals and two assists while Conord also scored twice.
Thayer gave McDaniel an 8-1 halftime lead after scoring on back-to-back free-position shots just 15 seconds apart in the final 1:21.
The game featured 46 total fouls and 16 cards, including 12 green and four yellow. The Green Terror took 19 free-position shots, scoring on nine, while UW-Eau Claire was 0-for-6.
Sophomore
Emily Conklin had one goal, five draw controls and two caused turnovers while senior
Kayonna Cook had two ground balls and two caused turnovers. Senior
Caleigh Kohr made six saves in goal and had three ground balls before giving way to junior
Emma Wood.
McDaniel wraps up its six-game home stand next Saturday, March 22 when it opens Centennial Conference play against Muhlenberg. Opening draw is set for 1 p.m.
