WESTMINSTER, Md - Freshman Zach Duck posted a win in the 1,650-yard freestyle lead to the McDaniel College men's swimming team against Dickinson Saturday in its final home meet of the season on Senior Day.
The Green Terror (5-9, 0-6 CC) fell in a dual meet against the Red Devils, 78-16.
Duck finished with a time of 17:52.86. He also placed third in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 53.00 seconds. Sophomore Ethan Gell followed in fourth with a time of 55.66 seconds.
Senior Christian Walker placed second in the 100-yard butterfly with a time of 55.96. Freshman Niall Navarra placed third in a time of 56.83.
The 200 yard medley relay of Freshman Connor Woodward, Navarra, Walker, and Senior Mark Senelli swam 1:54.27 to place second. The 200 yard freestyle relay of Sophomore Josh Morgan, Walker, Navarra, and Duck placed second in a time of 1:35.49.
Woodward placed third in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 25.64. Senelli placed forth with a time of 26.45. Woodward also placed third in the 200 yard backstroke in a time of 2:21.47.
Sophomore Dimitri Raush-Gernet placed third in the 500 yard freestyle in a time of 6:08.46.
Morgan placed third in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:53.69.
Gell placed third in the 200 yard IM with a time of 2:16.82. Gell also placed third in the 100 yard backstroke in a time of 1:14.89. Sanelli followed in 1:30.00 to place fourth.
The McDaniel College Swim Team will be back in action on February 20th for the start of the Centennial Conference Championship at Franklin & Marshall.
