BRYN MAWR, Pa. - First-year Isabel Meadows-Soto finished fifth among collegiate runners at the Jack St. Clair Memorial to lead the McDaniel College women's cross country team on Saturday at Belmont Plateau.
The Green Terror finished fourth out of nine teams, totaling 122 points to place ahead of Penn State Schuylkill, Rutgers-Camden, Chestnut Hill, and Cumberland.
The Philadelphia Runner Track Club took first with 28 points as it placed five runners in the top nine. Division II Thomas Jefferson University was the top collegiate team with 70 points and five runners in the top 20 to finish third.
Meadows-Soto finished 17th overall with a time of 24:49.48 to set a new program course record. It was the first 6K race for the team at Belmont Plateau. They participated in three 5K races prior to Saturday.
Junior Maya Colavito placed 24th in 26:58.82, followed by first-year Gianna Corrieri in 27th at 27:47.00. First-year Evie Eggers finished 30th in 28:33.47, senior Piper Nagaraj came in 31st at 28:33.80, senior Abby Warner was 37th at 29:22.75, and senior Natalie Kaminsky placed 40th in 29:44.79.
First-year Natalie Lebo placed 43rd in 30:45.11 and senior Arianna Lowengrub finished 55th with a time of 35:18.72.
The Green Terror return to action on Saturday, Oct. 18 at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational hosted by Gettysburg. The meet will serve as Senior Day.
