FREDERICK, Md - The Green Terror traveled to Hood College to face Hood and St. Mary's in a tri-meet. The McDaniel Swim team fell 120-137 against Hood and lost to St. Mary's 66-195.
Freshman Zach Duck placed second in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:54.29. Sophomore Cooper Eastlack placed seventh with a time of 2:21.26. Freshman Xavier Byrd followed in eight with a time of 3:11.45. Duck took third in the 500 yard freestyle with a time of 5:12.46. Sophomore Dimitri Raush-Gernet placed fourth in a time of 6:11.44. Eastlack place fifth with a time of 6:22.09.
Senior Christian Walker placed second in the 50 yard butterfly with a time of 25.01. Senior Aleksei Dudley placed seventh with a time of 27.89. Sophomore Ethan Gell placed eighth with a time of 27.96. Walker placed fourth in the 100 yard freestyle with a time of 53.61. Duck placed sixth with a time of 54.76. Gell took seventh in a time of 55.44.
freshman Niall Navarra placed second in the 100 yard butterfly with a time of 57.01. Walker placed fifth with a time of 57.76. Senior Mark Sanelli placed eighth swimming 1:23.77. Navarra placed fourth in the 100 yard breaststroke with a time of 1:11.14. Sanelli placed eighth with a time of 1:29.47. Byrd placed tenth swimming 1:44.77.
Dudley placed third in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 11:36.95. Raush-Gernet followed in fourth with a time of 12:58.69.
Sophomore Josh Morgan placed third in the 50 yard backstroke with a time of 27.92. Freshman Connor Woodward placed fifth with a time of 29.45. Sophomore John Hegarty swam 1:02.88 to place seventh. Morgan took fourth in the 50 yard freestyle with a time of 23.83. Woodward placed sixth with a time of 25.46. Sophomore Aaden Latos placed ninth with a time of 44.82. Morgan also placed third in the 100 yard backstroke in a time of 1:00.52. Woodward placed fifth with a time of 1:04.97. Hegarty placed ninth with a time of 2:35.43.
Eastlack placed fourth in the 100 yard IM with a time of 1:00.65. Navarra placed seventh with a time of 1:02.58.
The 200 yard medley relay team of Woodward, Navarra, Dudley, and Sanelli placed fourth with a time of 1:56.01. The 200 yard freestyle relay team also placed fourth with a time of 2:39.57. The team consisted of Raush-Gernet, Eastlack, Hegarty, and Letos.
Gell placed fifth in the 50 yard breaststroke with a time of 33.47. Dudley took eighth with a time of 35.74. Byrd followed in ninth with a time of 50.23.
The McDaniel College Swim Team will be back in action on January 25th in a tri-meet with Gallaudet and Goucher at Goucher College.
