Rachel Smith fought at No. 1 doubles before dropping an 8-2 decision to Elsa Oestermarker and Bri Serruto.
Leading 3-0, the Spartans (4-9) sealed the win when Oestermarker posted a 6-1, 6-0 win over Fyfe at No. 1 singles.
Senior
Claire Hopkins had the closest contested match at No. 4 singles, but fell in straight sets to Maggie Haggerty, 6-1, 6-2.
Match time against the Owls on Friday is at 4 p.m.
